Lost Books

Lost book(s) must be reported immediately to the section/unit librarian concerned. The account must be settled within a month after report was made. The system will automatically continue computing fines should the borrower fails to settle his/her account within the grace period.

Damaged Materials

Library materials damaged beyond normal usage must be replaced with the same title with additional costs, or be paid according to the current value determined by the library.

Photocopying

Photocopying of articles and excerpts from books may be allowed for teaching/research puposes. Photoduplication of theses and unpublished items is strictly prohibited. Photoduplication of any item done for purposes other than those already mentioned will be the sole responsibility of the person who committed the act.

Library Property

Theft, mutilation or destruction of library properties are subject for disciplinary action.

Conduct on Library Premises

Library users are required to observe proper behavior. Loud conversations are not permitted. Eating, drinking, littering, sleeping and the like are likewise prohibited.

Non-AUF Clients

Admission / Borrowing Requirements

1. Valid identification card (ID); and
2. A Permit from the AUF Library Director, which may be secured upon presentation of the document specified below, and payment of Research Fee of Php20.00 per person/visit is required to Outside Researchers.

AUF Alumni

Personal Letter of Introduction duly endorsed by the Dean of concerned College and the Director of Alumni Affairs and Placement Services
Outside Researchers
Referral Letter from the Librarian, or the immediate Head of visiting client(s) of private or government agencies
Library Policy on Admission
  1. All sections/branch libraries except Professional Schools accept Non-AUF clients from 8:00-5:00pm, Mondays to Fridays and 8:00-12:00nn on Saturdays. The Professional Schools Library (PSL) is open to Non-AUF clients from 8:00-12:00nn, Mondays to Fridays.
  2. Non-AUF clients will not be accommodated during major examination week.
  3. A maximum of five (5) library users per day from the same school/agency will be accommodated at any given time.
  4. The Library Management reserves the right to refuse or disapprove requests for accommodation on the basis of the following:
•  non-compliance of the requirements •  misdemeanor •  improper attire •  the library is in full use •  and other justifiable causes Library Privileges
  1. Access to library print materials is limited to “room use only.”
  2. Photocopying of some items may be allowed except for unpublished materials, like theses and dissertations.
The Research Fee does not include access to the Internet. Such service may be extended to the Non-AUF for a minimal fee. However, it is subject to the availability of computing machines.
