
The University Library maintains a collection of print and non-print information resources. Bulk of the collection consists of printed books and journals that support the curricular and information needs of the library’s constituents. To keep up with the rapid changes in technological development and to help the faculty improve and upgrade their teaching capabilities, the library has also embarked on the procurement of multimedia resources such as CD-ROM’s, video recordings, transparencies and cassette tapes. Subscription to an online database that consists of around 3,000 foreign journals was likewise initiated.
Information resources available in the UniversityLibrary includes books, pamphlets, journals, magazines and multimedia resources consisting of CD-ROM’s, videorecordings, transparencies, slides and maps. It also maintains special collections comprising of dissertations and theses. These are accounts of scholarly investigation or original research that were submitted in the university in partial fulfillment of Ph.D. and Master’s degree respectively. Research works of undergraduate students such as feasibility studies are likewise available in the library. The University Library also subscribed to an online database, the Proquest Academic Research Library, which provides full text of more than 3,000 foreign journals, newspapers and magazines.
